Yesterday we gathered online — artists, technologists, thinkers, builders — to imagine something together:
What does the New Human look like in 2036?
Not as prediction.
Not as speculation from distance.
But as something that begins now.

From Rooftop Experiments to a Global Ecosystem
CODAME began in 2010 as a simple rooftop gathering.
Friends showing side projects. Projection art. Drum machines. Experiments.
Over time, it evolved into workshops, hackathons, interactive installations, performance schedules — but the heart has never changed:
Curiosity.
Experimentation.
Creative collision.
ART+TECH as a living exploration.
Today, more than a decade later, we continue that same spirit — now with a global community stretching from Milan to San Francisco to Shanghai.
The Theme: The New Human
2036 begins here.
The New Human is not a fixed concept. It’s a question field.
How does the mind evolve when intertwined with machines?
How does society redesign itself around augmented bodies?
What happens to emotion, empathy, identity?
What fractures — and what expands?
At CODAME, we often speak about the “White Mirror.”
Not naive optimism.
But an intentional choice to imagine futures shaped by care, imagination, and collaboration — while acknowledging complexity.
The Creative Hackathon
This hackathon is open to everyone who is curious.
You do not need to be a coder.
You do not need to be technical.
Creative hackathon means:
Bring your art form.
Images. Poems. Performance. Sculpture. Video. Sound. Code. Installations.
All we ask:
Use ART+TECH
Engage with The New Human.

Mentors as Catalysts
Our mentors are not judges in the traditional sense.
They are catalysts of vision.
They spark questions.
They share perspective.
They help ideas stretch.
We are grateful to welcome:
Dario Biagio Torrisi — visual artist and designer
Vanessa Chang — scholar and creator exploring technology, disability, and art
Annalisa Bansi — art historian bridging neuroscience and heritage
Anouk Wipprecht — pioneer in fashion tech and living garments
Kris Pilcher — researcher in machine perception and immersive storytelling
Giovanni Muzio — computational artist and software architect
Yosun Chang — AR/VR founder and creative entrepreneur
Ray McClure — creative technologist and interactive engineer
Eugenio Marongiu — photographer exploring AI as a creative medium
Each mentor nourishes the ecosystem beyond the event itself.

Here are just a few that were shared yesterday:
Images in Your Head
Matteo’s father, Florian introduced the work of his 15-year-old autistic son, who draws constantly as a form of communication.
The dream:
Turn his drawings into movement, sound, and space.
A two-way creative dialogue.
A world more open, less mainstream.
The Ethical Steward of Coastal Perception
Saul Villegas documents environments through walking and sensing.
He proposes a future archive that shows not only the image — but the technology used to capture it.
A speculative virtual gallery blending physical, mental, and digital space.
Speculative Algorithmic Aesthetics
Deniz Kurt works with plant biodata, turning electrical pulses into sound and visuals.
For the hackathon: collaborative world-building.
Nature + architecture.
Speculative futures that avoid dystopia.
An orchestra of plants.
An organic interface between us and them.
Fulldome Immersive Production
Briam Rolón explores how bodies stretch across physical and digital realities.
From noise to collective flow.
Particles representing individuals.
Possible outcomes: immersive VR, fulldome environments, or short film.
Accumulation as Cultural Evolution
Zeo Zhang explores identity and emotional definition in a world that constantly categorizes us.
What is human?
What is self?
What remains when society defines you?
Open to collaboration. Open to evolution.
