More than a venue, BASE is a living ecosystem where art, design, technology, music, and social innovation meet — 365 days a year. A regenerated former industrial space, BASE is driven by experimentation, inclusion, and the belief that culture should be open, participatory, and shared.
As a (non)institution, BASE amplifies plural voices, supports creative processes across disciplines, and works in close connection with local and international communities. From residencies to performances, from design research to public programs, it’s a place where the unexpected can happen — and often does.

Love the concept of a hybrid cultural space that actually lives up to the name. The shift from traditional instituions to living ecosystems where communities co-create is where innovation happens. Worked with a similar collective lab in Berlin few years back, and the magic was always in the cross-pollination between disciplines. Curious how BASE navigates sustainabiilty alongside constant experimentation though, that balance is notoriously tricky.
