How the ART+TECH Festival Works
There’s no single way to join the ART+TECH Festival. Creativity doesn’t move in straight lines—and neither do people. You might build, imagine, organize, mentor, or simply explore. Every way of showing up is valid. Every role matters.
The Creative Hackathon is a starting point, not an endpoint. It’s where ideas begin—but it doesn’t mean writing code. For us, a creative hackathon means expressing an idea in your own medium: images, video, sound, performance, sculpture, poetry, installations, or forms that don’t yet have a name. Code is welcome—but not expected.
What matters is the creative use of art and technology, and a connection to The New Human theme.
Some ideas may grow over time into full installations and experiences, shared during Milano Art Week + Design Week 2026, and later in San Francisco, Shanghai, and other cities around the world.

Let’s imagine The New Human in ten years (2036)
We are not born new. We grow from fragments—scars, memories, languages, and code—layered into hybrid forms of body, mind, and culture. Like a coral reef formed from debris, we take shape under pressure. Technology, biology, and imagination intertwine, creating futures that are uneven, adaptive, and alive.
We have some questions for you to consider:
Mind: When cognition is shared between humans and machines,
where does thinking end — and where does authorship begin?
Body: As bodies become augmented and programmable,
what remains deeply personal, emotional, and human?
Society: Living inside a digital nervous system,
how do we design for care, agency, and connection — not just efficiency?
We invite experiments, encounters, and shared reflection—through art, technology, and human presence. Learn more about the theme:
