Maria Rita Nogueira focuses on the tension between embodiment and technology, viewing them not as an opposition but as a “co-presence”. Her vision for “The New Human” is one where we are redefined through our relationships with machines, but where movement, gesture, and sensation remain central. She asks how human presence, vulnerability, and intuition persist and even become more visible through interaction with intelligent systems. For her, technology is not a distancing force but a lens that invites reflection on our most human qualities.
