Join the Team
Silvie Claes and Srix Sriramkumar are joining as an existing team and looking for specialized collaborators to turn their concept into a compelling, buildable ritual. They are seeking:
Creative Technologists (WebXR, Unity, wearables prototyping).
Sound Designers/Composers skilled in adaptive and spatial audio.
Accessibility Designers (blind/low-vision, inclusive interaction).
Architects/Spatial Storytellers to map historical eras into musical rules.
AI/Systems Thinkers for generative logic and geo-mapping.
Performance/Scenography talent to stage a live composition.
What if we could hear what we see? Imagine a tool that translates the world around you into a new sense. Sonic Lens looks toward the year 2036, where our physical bodies and digital tools work together as one. By turning your surroundings into sound, this project transforms every building and every step into a living piece of music.
Imagine a visitor with low vision standing in the Vatican with their eyes closed. They don’t just hear a description; they “hear” the architecture itself. The high vaults become rising chords, the repeating columns become a steady drumbeat, and the gold walls become a bright shimmer. Similarly, a runner moving through a forest hears their pace and the landscape turn into a calm, steady rhythm. If they push too hard, the music automatically softens to help them breathe and find their flow.
This technology also turns history into a living layer. Walking through a poppy field or an old battlefield allows the land to “play back” its memory through sound and narrative fragments, making the past feel present without a flashy spectacle. By matching the patterns of a space to your own movement, Sonic Lens offers a “right-dopamine” deep dive—shifting focus away from noisy notifications and back to the beauty of the moment. It opens unlimited possibilities to reconnect people with spaces, turning the entire world into a shared, inclusive symphony.
The New Human is...
The New Human is a polyphonic being, evolving to sense the world through overlapping layers of history, architecture, and rhythm, using digital tools to expand human perception into a collective auditory awareness.
