3D Web Fest is going to Germany!
Call for Proposals
Submit your web based artwork exploring CONNECTION to be considered for inclusion in the 3D Web Fest Germany 2017 showcase. Whether you are playing with WebGL libraries, building VR worlds, or doing CSS hacks to bring 3D to the browser, we are excited to hear from you!
We welcome submissions from worldwide, and in honor of the location, encourage local German and European artists to submit their proposals.
The theme for 3D Web Fest Germany is CONNECTION. Connections have a subtle but powerful presence, weaving through the micro and macro of our lives. Opposites connect to define each other and synapses connect to create a self. Individuals connect into communities and governments connect locales.
About 3D Web Fest — Germany
Inspired by its success in San Francisco June 2017, CODAME is bringing 3D Web Fest to Germany!
3D Web Fest brought artists, programmers and performers together in a celebration of the extraordinary potential of the 3D web. Over 800 spectators packed the Palace of Fine Arts enjoyed this film festival style showcase of the most cutting-edge 3D browser-based experiences. The diverse slate of performances included virtual worlds, dynamic audio-visualizations, mocap dance and more.
At 3D Web Fest Germany, we’ll be showcasing an exciting array of 3D web art, including the following works.
Cake 23 by Felix Woitzel
Cake23
The interactive installation piece Cake 23 by Felix Woitzel combines markerless full body and gesture tracking with trippy visualizations and simulations. Perhaps you’ve seen one of his various fluid simulations or particle cloud animations. The GU accelerated feedback loop engages the unexpecting user to playfully explore reaction-diffusion systems, fractals, and callular automatons. At times it makes you feel like you’re inside a drippy wet painting, and the next moment you hallucinate tiger or zebra stripe patterns or you find yourself harnessing swarms of energetic particles.
Odra by Marpi
“Odra”
“Odra” is a generative creature based synthesizer, continuously evolving infinite ambient songs. As the artist Marpi remarks, “I always wanted to make a music album, this is the only way I know how.”
Anxiety Brain by Eve Weinberg
Anxiety Brain by Eve Weinberg is a 360 webGL experience, allowing you to step inside the artist’s mind, explore her anxious thoughts (sung in acapella harmony), and turn them off one by one.
From Sea From Land by Yanling He
“From Sea From Land”
“From Sea From Land” by Yanling He uses ShaderToy for the rendering and the music is from Ending Satellites Children@seas. It transfers from sea to land. As moon and sun rise and set, day goes by day, the world becomes more artificial but the artist’s love for the sea, land and that sky never changes.
Join this exciting slate of artists and submit your work for consideration!
